Discuss what you have learned with a friend or family member.

  1. How has your understanding of the racism Asian Americans have endured shifted after watching these videos?

  2. How do you understand the recent rise in anti-Asian racism in the U.S.? How should the church respond?

  3. What’s one thing that surprised you about these videos? How might you share that surprise with someone else (who?, when?, how?, etc.)?

Spiritual praxis to engage in throughout this month: Dislocation & Proximity

In this practice you are invited to place yourself in a different location three or four times throughout this month.

  • Go somewhere where you might be a minority or where you have certain assumptions or biases about

  • Sit, walk, move, eat, play - just inhabit the space

  • Notice your surroundings, emotions, thoughts, interactions and document them

  • Reflect on your experiences with another person
